I'll help you explore how writers of both fiction and non-fiction texts write, so you can think about the choices you make in your own writing and the effect this will have on your reader. 

Each session with me is tailored to the student's exact needs.  We'll focus on the skills that will most enhance natural abilities in order to progress. Plus, I have hundreds of resources gathered over my career and regularly updated that you can use both in the sessions and on your own time.

As well as knowing your text well, the key to success in Literature exams is ensuring you can comment on the important and relevant parts of each novel, poem, or play, whilst keeping the question and task firmly in mind.  I empower my students with the writing skills and critical thinking to create engaging essays and win marks.  In addition, we'll fine-tune the skills needed to effectively embed references and relevant context, all ensuring you write clear, concise answers which best show what you know.

Again, each tutoring session can look at specific aspects of your course and, depending on where you are in your GCSE journey, focus on exploring the text itself, or wholly on exam practice.  The choice will yours.  And again, you'll have access to my library of resources to support your learning.
